VINTAGE Mills 5 cent slot machine Black Cherry circa 1942 WORKS
Serial number 4821XX , examination of slot machine registers seem to indicate that this machine was made in 1941 or early 1942 … So pre war … probably
The reels are clean and bright and marked Copyright 1910 Bell – Fruit – Gum , Mills novelly co . Chicago
All glass appears original and uncracked.
The original stickers and labels seem to all be present inside the machine .
This is an original , unrestored machine that seems to be working fine , the escalator works fine , although I have not tested the jackpot feature I have no reason to doubt that it is working as well .
All base and cabinet wood appears to be original .
Includes the original , numbered Mills KEY , the original back ( with the “Mr Owner” sheet on the inside ) and the often lost slug cup. The machine has been repainted several times over the years , it is now blue , not the original silver .
someone in a fit of pique seems to have hit the front of the unit with a hammer , this was some time , and several repaints ago .
The original coin box is present bit it is missing one end ,
The handle return spring is broken , but included , The unit still works fine but the handle does not always co back up that last 1/2 inch by itself , I suspect that it is a very easy fix .
NOTE I have more pictures , if you need to see something specific , please feel free to ask
I am going to list this machine as pick up only , IF you want me to drop it off for packing and shipping at some place I MAY consider it , But I would GREATLY prefer local pick up .
